This investment increases the market share for local businesses, creates jobs, and keeps money circulating within our community. This includes strategic collaboration between the borough and local employers, incentives for local procurement, and the building of a more sustainable economic ecosystem through investment in infrastructures, particularly energy infrastructure.

who is alexis?
Alexis grew up in the Midwest, slowly making her way west and up the coast. She was inspired to get civically involved from an early age, where she was involved in 4-H, her school’s band program, and the local parks district.
Alexis earned her bachelor's in political science with a pre-law concentration, a military science minor, and an environmental studies minor from California Polytechnic State University in 2013. She also commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Reserve as a military intelligence officer at the same time.
She then moved to Seattle where she obtained her Master’s in Public Administration and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington in 2018. After finishing her law degree, Alexis became and active duty Judge Advocate, and the Army moved her to Fort Wainwright in 2019. Alexis left active duty in 2023 as a Captain.
Alexis now owns and manages her own solo practice law firm in the Golden Heart City, focusing on employment, criminal defense, and employment law. She’s the proud animal mom of a German shepherd, a cat, a Russian tortoise, a California king snake, 5 conures, and one mini macaw. When she’s not working, you can find Alexis foraging for mushrooms and berries, knitting up a storm, or hitting up a local farmer’s market.
